Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2015 – Action Clip – Azores, Portugal

With three new podium finishers the 2015 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series enters a decisive phase
Mexico’s Jonathan Paredes and Andy Jones, from the United States, cause a stir in the World Series as they dive into the top-three in the season’s purest stop on a volcanic islet in the Azores archipelago, behind the ever-dominant Gary Hunt, from England. In what was the year’s closest result from almost three times the Olympic height, the athletes returned to the sport’s roots and leapt directly off the cliff to hit the water three seconds later with their bare feet at speeds of 85kph. On July 18, a passionate Portuguese crowd witnessed a wildcard winner in the second of three Women’s World Series competitions of 2015, as American Cesilie Carlton finished just ahead of Mexico’s Adriana Jimenez and the USA’s Ginger Huber.

Redbull – Cliff Diving World Series In Corsica 2012

It was Orlando Duques comeback competition and the Colombian began exactly where he ended last year: on top of the podium receiving the winner’s trophy. In a thrilling head-to-head battle from 27 metres, reigning World Series champion Gary Hunt was the lucky loser and the last diver to go through to the final at the season opener on the island of Corsica on Saturday evening. More than 1,200 people on boats saw Steven LoBue, from the United States, take his first ever second place, with Czech diver Michal Navratil completing the first top three.

Australian wildcard and World Series debutante, Rhiannan Iffland, thrilled the crowds in Texas, USA on Saturday as she put in a magical diving display from 20m and upset the odds with a stunning victory. In an equally dramatic men's event, it was Mexico's Jonathan Paredes who delivered a close to perfect dive to take the top spot ahead of Brit Blake Aldridge and Czech Michal Navratil from the 27.5m platform. Two-time Texas winner Gary Hunt could not complete his hat trick of wins here despite performing the world's most difficult dive.

Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2015 – Teaser – Polignano a Mare, Italy

While Polignano a Mare is the penultimate stop for the men’s 2015 World Series, where a tight battle for the top overall places will continue, for the female cliff divers this beautiful town in southern Italy will see the crowning of a champion. After the women’s first 20m off-the-cliff competition in Azores, wildcard Cesilie Carlton and fellow American Rachelle Simpson are tied in first place – everything will be decided in the women’s season final. The heat is on in the men’s category after Mexico’s Jonathan Paredes engraved his name onto the elite list of competition winners in the previous stop, breaking Gary Hunt’s winning streak from almost three times the Olympic height. Only one point behind Colombian legend Orlando Duque in the overall standings, the 26-year-old is encouraged to step it up once again approaching the business end of the year.
